Propolis: this is protective resinous material produced by bees and used by them to coat the whole hive to seal it. The folk medicine of many countries has recognised the therapeutic qualities of propolis for centuries, especially in connection with infected wounds. The following chemical compounds have been found in propolis to date: flavonoides, phenols and phenylcarbonic acids, sterine and steroids, terpenic acids, triterpene, vitamins, wax, resins and ethereal oils. Biological breakdown of pollen: We have succeeded in reducing the allergen reactions caused by pollen and have found a biological test which enables us to break down the protein chains right down to amino acids. Pollen has to be broken down in this way if it is to be processed in a galenic form. Pollen causes allergic reactions in the human organism to varying degrees. Allergies may or may not occur after contact with pollen. These allergens are glycol protein, which can be found in the exomem of the pollen. Using a specially developed biological process in our laboratories, we can now break down these substances. Following this process there is no longer any evidence of the allergen effect of these substances. These methods are unique to our company and form the basis for the inclusion of pollen in our Biosbee preparations.

Royal Jelly: Humans have been keeping bees since the dawn of civilisation. The first natural scientist to discover and record Royal Jelly - the feeding juices for the queen bee - was Jan Swammerdam in 1637. Royal Jelly can be extracted from the cells of the queen bee. These are easily distinguishable by their size and are normally to be found on the top or sides of the honeycomb. The glandular secretion, a mixture of nectar, pollen and honey, is produced by the 'nurse' bees for nourishing the new queen bee. The queen bee feeds on this jelly her whole life long, grows to twice the size of the common worker bees, lives 30-40 times as long, lays up to 2000 eggs daily and is also exceptionally resistant to disease. product details
